#FICTION

She was scrolling Instagram timeline then her eyes stopped at one post that catch her attention, Women's March; A movement to all the women out there to believes that they have the same rights as men. To stand of what they believes. To fight for what they dreams of. To be a woman with pride without need any worries. She's mumbling and nod her head, remembering about Lina in Minggat by Darto Singo who said to herself, "Ibu dan kakakku hanya penghamba suami yang banyak sekali kehilangan haknya sebagai manusia hanya karena wanita." And this is also reminds her of  her own story:
Months ago, her mother want her to meet a man that her mother think that he might be a good husband for her. Her mother think that it is time to her to have a family because she's mature enough. She really wish she could tell her mother a quote by Chili Davis, "Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional." because she is not her mother who had 2 child at her age but she choose to dismissed that, later she's agreed because she didn't want to let her mother sad and disappointed. And then she met him. Not a butterfly on her stomach, not even once. Maybe it was because her past relationship that makes her more careful. Two weeks after the first meeting, his family came to her house, asked her father when would the wedding ceremony held. Her mother looks so happy that day, knowing her daughter will have a husband so there's no people asked her when will her daughter marry that really makes her sick. But two weeks and three times face to face also chatting everyday doesn't makes her sure that he is the man that would makes her happy.
Later she felt this wasnt right. She doesn't want him to be his husband. Not at all. Confusion struck her, she doesn't want to makes her parents sad but on the other side she can predict what would happen when they were become husband and wife; something that would harms her.
She doesn't want to be like Lina's mother and sister. She wants to be whatever she was dreamed of. She really wants to fight the future of herself; to have a job for at least before she's marrying someone -that she love- because she want to has her own income, not count on anyone. And most important is she wants to make her parents happy, to payback what her parents do to her before her responsibility change to her future husband and family. Least, she wants to stand of what she believes, to fight for what she dreams of. She wants to be happy, no matter how much people asks her "when" to everything.
With doubt she tells her parents everything about him. At first her parents was shocked, they was thought that she loves him and all the things she said was confused them. But it didn't takes too long to make them believes her. And what was happened to him later? No one knows. Because what matter most that she is stand of what she believes in, and she is happier than ever now.
